FAQS

How many sessions will I need?

There is no set amount of appointments for any problem. The number of follow-up sessions is based on your individual needs.  This will be discussed with you at your first appointment.

Can I refer myself?

Yes, please contact us by phone or email.

Can I see you if I’m seeing another physiotherapist, chiropractor, or osteopath in the NHS or privately?

Yes, but at the discretion of the physiotherapist.  You have the right to choose where to seek treatment.  However, as health care professionals, we are obligated to follow a code of conduct and this means that we must be transparent with any agencies providing you with simultaneous treatment.  This can be discussed with you on an individual basis

What clothes should I wear?

Loose fitting clothes are ideal.  You may need to undress down to underwear so it would be advisable to wear appropriate underwear!

Do you have a waiting room?

There isn’t a waiting room but there are sufficient gaps between clients meaning that your appointment will start on time.

Can a relative, friend and/or children accompany me to my appointment?

Yes but we recommend that no more than two people accompany you as it can be a distraction during your appointment.  Young children and babies can accompany parents if necessary.

Do you treat babies and toddlers?

No.

Do you treat children, adolescents and young adults?

Treating children is a specialist area and usually requires pediatric physiotherapy. Physio-Evolve do not treat children/teenagers under the age of sixteen. Young adults aged 16 - 17 do not need parental consent but we recommend a parent or guardian accompanies them to their first appointment. Chaperones are welcome.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Yes, subject to circumstance.  We require 24 hours  notice for cancellations. Anything less results in the clinic not being able to offer appointments to other clients and financial loss.

What happens if I am running late?

Clients are reminded that clinics run to time.  If you arrive within 15 minutes of the start of your appointment then the therapist will see you but the appointment will not be extended and you will be expected to settle the full fee.

Is there parking?

Yes; the clinic is based in a residential area. There is free parking on the road.

What are your payment terms?

We ask that payment is made after each consultation either by cheque, cash, or card.  We accept all major cards.

Do you accept private medical insurance?

We currently except Simply Health. We no longer except ; WPA, AXA, Vitality or Aviva.
